My grandad died earlier this morning of a heart attack.

Hasn't sunk in yet. I'm worried about my grandmother and my mum more than anything else, one of whom is ill and the other pretty fragile at the best of times. Dad won't stop babbling or spouting cliches. Just don't know what to do - I can't help but think that I never got to say goodbye.

As I briefly mentioned in my previous post, I'm rewatching Battlestar Galactica. I'm not convinced this is good for my sanity, but as I've previously only experienced the show with enormous hiatuses between episodes/seasons, some episodes in terrible pre-HDTV rip quality, or some episodes not all, I feel this is long past due. I've returned from Scotland and I still feel pretty damn train-lagged if such a thing is possible. But then I'm pretty much the 21st century male equivalent of a wilting, corset-wearing Victorian lady who faints at the first sign of any kind of hardship, so that's to be expected.

What did I miss (if anything)?

1. Poppy saw off a fox in the back garden tonight. I went to call her inside as I usually do around 11 at night and got a real start when I saw a pretty large adult fox staring back at me halfway up the garden path. A wasp just flew in through my window, landed on my foot and stung me! The absolute fucker! I've never agreed with this clip more in my entire life. Thankfully we have bite/sting cream readily available in the bathroom cabinet.

But that wasn't the end of it!

The horrible, agonising wait is OVER!

I've got through to second year! I've got fucking through! This is an unparalleled achievement in the history of humanity! And I'm going to ace it like a mother-bitch. I'm going to work my tits off.

Now if you excuse me I'll be over there doing a celebratory jig.
